The Alaskan locations of the photos include: Juneau, Gulkana, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Ruby, and Paxson. Subjects of the photos include: Juneau Lumber Company (Juneau and Anchorage), Independent Lumber Company (Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Ruby), Juneau Spruce Corporation (also known as Juneau Lumber Mill) in Juneau, the wreck of the steamship "Islander" in the Lynn Canal south of Juneau, the Zinda Hotel fire in Juneau, logging camps, Roy and Juanita Rutherford, Gulkana Lodge, Paxson Roadhouse, the golden spike at the completion of Tanana Mines Railway in Fairbanks, airplanes, and sleds.
